SHEAR MADNESS NYC

Driemeyer-Sills Productions is part of the producing team of SHEAR MADNESS in NYC at New World Stages.

Great to do another show with my good friend and colleague Robert Driemeyer (Tony winning LA CAGE AUX FOLLES revival, FORBIDDEN BROADWAY, ELLING, and London's THE UMBRELLAS OF CHERBOURG). We previously produced Tennessee Williams' THE TWO-CHARACTER PLAY starring Tony and Emmy winner Amanda Plummer and Golden Globe winner and Oscar nominee Brad Dourif, also at New World Stages.

Elinor Donahue joins the cast of HARVEY!

I'm agog with the news that ELINOR DONAHUE will be playing Mrs. Chumley in Judson Theatre Company's HARVEY! My NC friends know her as Andy's girlfriend Ellie on "The Andy Griffith Show", and Elinor is truly a TV icon: Emmy nom as Betty on "Father Knows Best" & other series regular roles like Miriam on "The Odd Couple" (Felix's girlfriend), Rebecca on "Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman" (Dr. Quinn's sister) and even Chris Elliot's mom on "Get a Life". From "Star Trek" to "The Golden Girls" to "Friends" to "Cold Case", she's guested on practically every beloved TV show. On the big screen, her work spans from movies with Margaret O'Brien and Elizabeth Taylor in the 1940s and 50s to "Pretty Woman" and "Princess Diaries 2". So very honored to have this TV Land Legend Award winner coming to Pinehurst. Tix: JudsonTheatre.com.

Rave review for Millbrook Playhouse's DIAL 'M' FOR MURDER

More than anything I wanted to do justice to the play, and have my direction completely "disappear" so that the audience was unaware of it and fully engaged in the story. Thank you to Erin Tierney and The Express for this review.

Millbrook's DIAL 'M' FOR MURDER

It's such a privilege to be at Millbrook Playhouse, directing Dial "M" for Murder as part of their 52nd season. The more I work on Frederick Knott's play, the more I realize what a masterpiece it is. Producing Artistic Director David Leidholdt does a first rate job creating one of the happiest, healthiest, most enjoyable work environments I've ever experienced.

Our design team has captured the period (1954 London in autumn and winter) so beautifully, stage management and our crew keep it all running super smoothly and without conflict, and the cast has that "can do" attitude that's always a pleasure...when you have a group as dedicated, talented, and on-task as the people here, you ask yourself "why would I ever hire anyone who wasn't like these people?" The entire experience has been a joy. www.MillbrookPlayhouse.org.
